International Project-based Learning Opportunities List
Pizza Around the World Research pizza around the world and complete unit in math and social studies class. Students understand cultural connections to foods, while also learning about the health benefits of some foods from around the world. It’s A Wrap Activities incorporate mathematics, the arts, and language arts into a project which introduces students to the concepts of design and engineering by applying measurement, estimation, and computational skills. Currency unit- Students learn research skills in Social Studies class and discover the history of bank notes in a chosen country. In Mathematics class students learn to convert currency using daily exchange rate.
Trek Across the Globe- As students, in the 50 mile club, complete their daily mileage on the track, it will be recorded on a world map. The combined total for all runners will be calculated and students will work together to travel around the globe. As students reach different countries, images from that country will be posted by the map for that week.

Epals- Students are matched up with another student in a via epals. In Mathematics class students from both classrooms compare ways they earn “pocket money” and how they spend it.
